I Welcome the Arrests in Mexico, But Still Hope for the Safe Return of the Students – Dita Charanzová, MEP
Dita CHARANZOVÁ, ALDE standing INTA rapporteur for Mexico:
On 18 October 2014, the Mexican authorities captured the ring leader of Guerreros Unidos¸ the criminal gang implicated as part of the disappearance of 43 students in Iguala. This followed a major protest by the citizens of the region calling for the return of the students.
