Belarus nuclear power plant: EU must obtain access to the site to monitor its safety
MEPs today held a debate in plenary on the latest developments in Belarus, following the September parliamentary election, discussing the country’s prospects of joining the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly. One of the main concerns raised in the debate is the safety of the nuclear power plant built by the Russian state owned corporation Rosatom, located close to the EU border.
