Youth Employment: One billion euros to deliver change
MEPs have today adopted plans to make €1 billion in Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) funding i.e. one-third of the total for 2014-2020, available in 2015. This plan could deliver a thirtyfold increase in the funding made available for EU member states in 2015 to support their efforts to get 650,000 young people into work.

Bologna process- European area of higher education is key to promote the European citizenship
ALDE welcomes the positive vote on the report on the follow up on the implementation of the Bologna process (Łybacka report) that has taken place today in the plenary in Strasbourg. The text calls on the countries of the European Higher Education Area to implement the agreed reforms, and stresses the importance of guaranteeing the mutual recognition of academic degrees.
