MH17: ALDE Group calls for an International Criminal Tribunal to bring those responsible to justice
Liberal and Democrat MEPs, Hans van Baalen (VVD, The Netherlands) and Petras Auštrevičius (Liberal’s Movement of Lithuania) have written an open letter to support the Dutch, Australian, Belgian, Malaysian and Ukrainian governments’ request for an International Criminal Tribunal to bring those responsible for the downing of flight MH17 to justice.

No EU – Cuba negotiations unless human rights safeguarded (Spanish version below)
The European Parliament today debated the future of EU – Cuba relations with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, following the recent meetings of Ms Mogherini in Havana and a change in US policy towards the island.
ALDE Group’s Vice-Presidents, Pavel Telicka and Fernando Maura, have called on the EU to bear in mind the political prisoners jailed by the regime and all those who had their human rights breached by the Cuban authorities, before any further steps are taken in negotiations with Havana.
