2014 discharge: “It’s premature to speak about granting the discharge or not to the Commission”, declared the rapporteur Martina Dlabajová
Whereas the hearings led by the Committee on Budgetary Control in the framework of the discharge procedure for the financial year 2014 are complete, Martina Dlabajová (Ano, Czech Republic), ALDE rapporteur, is somewhat not fully satisfied. The aim of Ms Dlabajova is to review the annual procedure so that the analysis focusses more on the added value of the EU budget in order to align spending with EU policy priorities.

The annual report of the Court of Auditors sets solid ground for Martina Dlabajová’s position on the 2014 discharge
The European Court of Auditors in its annual report on the implementation of the 2014 budget, which was presented today before the Committee on Budgetary Control (CONT), calls for a completely new approach to the EU investment and expenditure management. The Court asks the European Parliament to harmonize the budget with the EU long term strategic priorities and to increase the ability of the budget to respond to crises. Martina Dlabajová (ANO, Czech Republic), ALDE Vice-President for CONT and rapporteur for this report, declared:
