EU – Turkey co-operation on the refugee crisis must come on an equal footing with the respect of human rights
MEPs debated today the situation in Turkey, just a day after the European Commission presented an action plan to step-up EU–Turkey cooperation in dealing with the refugee crisis. Following this exchange of views, ALDE MEP, Alexander Graf Lambsdorff (FDP, Germany), Vice-President of the European Parliament, said:
