EU must prevent the abuse of technologies which breach human rights
The European Parliament voted today on a report drafted by ALDE MEP, Marietje Schaake (D66, The Netherlands) focusing on human rights and technology in third countries.
Marietje Schaake believes the European Union must become aware of the impact of new technologies on its Foreign Policy and act as a guardian to make sure these don’t fall in wrong hands:
