Former Greek chief statistician facing prosecution wins support of influential MEPs
Today the European Parliament’s working group on Greece heard Mr Andreas Georgiou, former Head of Elstat, Greece’s statistical agency. Mr Georgiou, who held his post from 2010 to 2015, is currently being prosecuted by the Greek government and faces criminal charges for allegedly undermining Greece’s national interest.

Former Greek chief statistician facing prosecution wins support of influential MEPs
Today the European Parliament’s working group on Greece heard Mr Andreas Georgiou, former Head of Elstat, Greece’s statistical agency.
