Bosnia and Herzegovina: A Fundamental Player for the stabilization of the Western Balkans
Following a very positive two day event dedicated to the Western Balkans, organised by the ALDE Group in the European Parliament, ALDE MEP, Jozo Radoš (HNS, Croatia) took part in an assessment mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). The Members of the Security and Defence sub-Committee of the EP checked the status of the cooperation developed by the EU in BiH and also participated in the first European Union – Bosnia and Herzegovina Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC).

European Parliament Group leaders call for decisive action to solve refugee crisis – Weber, Pitella and Verhofstadt write letter to government leaders
Today, the political leaders in the European Parliament sent an open letter to the 28 European government leaders to finally agree on a joint approach on asylum and migration during the European Summit in Valletta on 11 and 12 November.
EPP Group leader Manfred Weber, S&D leader Gianni Pitella and ALDE leader Guy Verhofstadt urgently call on government leaders to show political leadership and political will to find a European solution. They call upon them to support the proposals put forward by the European Commission for a European Border and Coast Guard, a European asylum and migration system and a European Blue Card
