A "special Google tax" is not the solution
Senior ALDE MEPs have today responded to suggestions yesterday by EU digital chief Günther Oettinger that the European Union is considering imposing a tax on U.S. Internet companies such as Google as part of a new plan to build a single digital market. The new idea suggested by Commissioner Oettinger is a special tax for the Google News service and other taxes relating to search operations in Europe.
