EU unemployment creating lost generation warn ALDE MEPs
MEPs today debated plans to make €1 billion in Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) funding i.e. one-third of the total for 2014-2020 – available in 2015. This plan could deliver a thirtyfold increase in the funding made available for EU member states in 2015 to support their efforts to get 650,000 young people into work.

Greek WWII reparations claims go against the European spirit (followed by German version)
Yesterday Prime Minister Tsipras declared that his country has a “moral obligation” to claim reparations from Germany for the damages brought by the Nazis during World War II: “A moral obligation to our people, to history, to all Europeans who fought and gave their blood against Nazism,” he said.
