Follow-up on “ET 2020” − ALDE group stresses need to integrate migrants into education and training
In times of high youth unemployment and new challenges due to migration, European cooperation in education and training (“ET2020”) must be re-evaluated. The European Parliament’s vote today aims to improve control and coordination of the existing framework (e.g. by extending working groups with various stakeholders, such as civil society representatives, teachers, youth workers), to enhance the quality of education and training, and to highlight the migration aspect.
