EU budget spending: Martina Dlabajová to visit refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan
Brussels / Beirut / Amman – This week, MEP Martina Dlabajová will participate in a fact-finding mission of the Committee on Budgetary Control (CONT) to Lebanon and Jordan to investigate the use of EU financial assistance to deal with the inflow of refugees.
From the 20th to the 23rd September, a delegation of eight members of the Budgetary Control Committee (CONT) will visit refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan. Members of the mission will meet high-level representatives from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) as well as Jordanian authorities. The refugees from these regions are assisted by UNRWA, to which the EU is contributing between €100 and €175 million annually.

ALDE MEP Martina Dlabajová: EU Youth Guarantee not fully exploited in Italy
A delegation of members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Budgetary Control, headed by ALDE MEP Martina Dlabajová, has accomplished their fact-finding mission to Southern Italy to investigate the use of the European Social Fund, with particular reference to the Youth employment initiative (YEI) and Youth Guarantee, in the Italian regions of Sicily and Calabria.
